My Mission

To provide high quality, creative family portrait photography, corporate photography and pet photography to clients in the Sydney Region which exceed clients expectations. To make each photography session an experience to be remembered. To impart my experience and knowledge by providing practial photography tuition and coaching.

A little about Julie

With a background in painting and a passion for art Julie enjoys constructing works of art for her clients using interesting backgrounds and creative lighting. The result is emotive and contemporary portraits which capture the essence of you or your family.

Julie studied photography at the Australian Centre for Photography, Paddington and worked for a Sydney wedding studio for around 3 years before commencing Julie G Photography.

Julie has a genuine curiosity for people and believes that everyone is unique and beautiful in their own way.

Tuition & Coaching

It seems everyone has a digital camera these days but very few understand how to use it to it's full potential. Julie is now offering Photography Tuition & Coaching for Beginners.

Photography Tuition for Beginners

The tuition includes 5 hours of one-to-one photography tuition covering the basics of photography, understanding exposure, shutter speed and aperture, ISO, depth of field, metering and how to compose more powerful images. You will reinforce what you've learnt with practical exercises. Handouts provided.

"I studied photography in a class situation and believe I could have benefited from one-on-one tuition" to help me with those areas I struggled to understand".

You will gain professional insights from a full time professional photographer with over 7 years experience, specializing in family portrait photography, fashion photography, corporate photogrpahy and pet photography. Ongoing support available following course completion. Requirements: Digital SLR.

5 hours tuition: 1 person $350, 2 persons $300 per person

About Photography Coaching

Coaching sessions are great for those who want to get more out of their compact camera or SLR camera or wish to polish their existing skills.

Coaching sessions are designed to help you improve your photography and troubleshoot any existing problems you may have. You may want to learn how to use your camera to take more effective photos, get some tips for how to take flattering portraits of your family and friends or just gain some professional insights to take your photography to the next level. Coaching rate: $100 for minimum 1.5 hours.

Pet Portraits with Style!

Competition Win

Julie was recently chosen as one of 30 photographers worldwide to appear in a book entitled “Real Colors of My Life”. The competition was held by Datacolour in Switzerland.
